ASTRACAST LANOS TAP SPARES
Tap Magician replacement cartridges with the Astracast Lanos chrome kitchen sink mixer tap TP1020 Chrome and TP1021 Brushed.

If your tap is dripping or leaking out of the spout then it is time to replace / change the quarter turn ceramic disc cartridges.

Cartridge has 28 teeth on spline.
You will require our Anticlockwise open cartridge for the cold side, and clockwise open for the hot side.
If you require both then you can select "Pair".

If your Lanos tap is leaking from the neck (where the spout joins the tap body) then the seals inside the spout need replacing. Spout repair kit available as SK18-S.
When you replace the new rubber seals they need greasing with a silicone grease (SL05-S).

If you require a new antisplasher / aerator this is our part SR22X-S (Chrome) and SR22XCB-S (Brushed).

Replacement lever handles available in SH59CB-S (Brushed Nickel) and SH59C-S (Polished Chrome).

Astracast Lanos Frequently asked questions

How to I remove the Astracast Lanos tap handle?
Use 2mm allen key to undo handle. The grub screw is located on the underside of the handle.
You can pull the lever forwards to access the screw at the back if you need more space.

How do I know if need the adaptor bush?
Until you remove the cartridge from the tap you will not know if you need this part.
This is because sometimes the bush gets corroded to the tap and remains in the tap body,
and other times it comes out corroded to the tap cartridge.

Can I remove the adaptor bush from the old cartridge?
Yes you can but it can be very hard to remove due to corrosion.
You can try using very hot water, followed by cold water over it, to help break the corrosion seal.
The bush unscrews from the cartridge anticlockwise. You will likely ed to use some grips or put it in a vice to remove it.
If you cannot separate it you will need to replace the bush.

How do I remove the spout and replace the o'rings inside the spout?
Use 2.5mm allen key to undo grub screw at the back holding the spout in place.
Pull spout up and out of the tap body. You can watch our How to video above.

What size spanner do I need to remove the tap cartridge?
You will need a 17mm or an adjustable spanner.
