FRANKE ATHENA TAP SPARES

The video is of the Franke Zurich tap but the handles remove in the same way on the Athena, and the internal parts are the same.

If your tap is dripping or leaking out of the spout then it is time to replace / change the quarter turn ceramic disc cartridges.
This is the later version (post 2013) Original spare part codes known by 3819R SP3819 SP3819-H and SP3819-C.
Cartridge has 20 teeth on spline.
You will require our Anticlockwise open cartridge for the cold side, and clockwise open for the hot side,

Your valve may come out stuck inside the brass bush (original code SP3408 / 3408R / 133.0069.391).
If you cannot separate or the tap is leaking at the handle joint you will need to purchase together with the new bush.
If your tap is leaking from the neck (where the spout joins the tap body) then the seals inside the spout need replacing.
When you replace the new rubber seals they need greasing with a silicone grease. The original O'ring kit is known by 1239R SP1239.
If you require a new antisplasher / aerator this is our part SR63C/CB (available in Chrome or brushed).
Original codes known by 133.0068.762 SP1263 /1263R your original part may have Neoperl stamped around the edge.
If you need a new complete spout this is our Code SPOUT01C and is compatible with SP1306 / 1306R / 133.0314.654. The Spout comes complete with aerator and o rings.
Replacement tap chrome base ring / plinth available in chrome (compatible with 133.0068.833).
Replacement Lever handle available (Our handle is plain there is no H or C stamped on it) This is compatible with part SP3898 3898R 133.0314.656 133.0314.657
How to remove the handle and replace the cartridge (turn water off before starting these steps).
1. First remove screw cover on the end of the handle. We supply replacement indices should you break or damage these.
2. Use appropriate screwdriver to remove screw holding handle in place
3. The handle will then pull off.
4. Use adjustable of 17mm spanner to undo cartridge. It will unscrew anticlockwise from the tap
5. Repeat steps in reverse order to fit the new cartridge and replace the handle.
