You can then unscrew the screw holding the plastic adaptor on. Cartridge can then be unscrewed.

How can I repair my dripping Natos basin mixer tap?
If your tap is dripping then its time to replace the cartridges. IF you do not know which side is leaking it is best to replace both the hot and the cold.
