If your tap is dripping or leaking out of the spout then it is time to replace / change the quarter turn ceramic disc cartridges.
Cartridge has 20 teeth on spline. May have BS5412 L20 stamped on side of cartridge.
Has yellow plastic spline adaptor. We have a replacement spline adaptor available if you break this (SA06).
You will require our Anticlockwise open cartridge for the cold side, and clockwise open for the hot side.
If you require both then you can select "Pair".
If your Apsley tap is leaking around the base of the spout then you need to replace the O rings inside the spout.
Replacement spout repair kit product code SK33-S.
Spare screw is for the spout.
Replacement aerator insert available as SR00-S.
To replace the insert turn the casing anticlockwise until it’s unscrewed from the tap.
How to remove the Cooke & Apsley tap handle lever?
Before replacing the cartridge you will need to turn the water off.
Step 1. Remove tap indice screw cap cover. This will prise off.
Step 2. Remove the handle retaining screw with crosshead screwdriver.
Step 3. Pull handle away from tap body.
Step 4. Unscrew decorative tap shroud. This will unscrew anticlockwise.
Step 5. Use a spanner to remove the tap cartridge.
How to remove the Cooke & Apsley tap spout to replace the O rings?
Step 1. Remove the spout retaining screw, by using a 2.5mm allen key.
Step 2. Pull tap spout up away from the tap body.
Step 3. Prise off old O rings to replace.
When you replace the new rubber seals they need greasing with a silicone grease.
