CARRON PHOENIX WINDSOR TAP SPARES
Replacement Ceramic tap cartridges compatible with the Carron Phoenix Windsor Kitchen tap.
If your Carron Phoenix Windsor Monobloc tap is dripping or leaking out of the spout then it is time to replace / change the quarter turn ceramic disc cartridges.
Original spare part codes known by 1427R-C / 1427R-H / 133.0438.154H / 133.0438.154C.
Later models have been fitted which 3547R valves.
The 1427R replacement cartridge is recommended by the tap manufacturer as a replacement for both models.
The cartridge has 28 splines. Original has SMR stamped on the cartridge. You will require our Anticlockwise open cartridge for the cold side, and clockwise open for the hot side.
If you require both then you can select "Pair". Hot and cold valve replacements available.
When you remove your old valve from the tap the bush usually remains inside the tap block however sometimes it comes out together with the valve.
If you are unable to separate the valve from the bush then you can purchase a replacement.
Replacement bush product code is SB28-S, original code known by 3409R (SP3409). Please note the bush is only used on the hot side.
If your tap is leaking from the neck (where the spout joins the tap body) then the seals inside the spout need replacing.
When you replace the new rubber seals they need greasing with a silicone grease.
The original O'ring kit is known by 1239R.
How To remove the handle and replace the cartridge:
Turn water off before starting steps.
1. Remove the handle retaining screw by using a 2mm allen key. You will then be able to remove the handle by pulling it off.
2. Use 17mm or adjustable spanner to undo cartridge anticlockwise.
4. You can check at this point if the bush has remained inside the tap body or come out attached to the cartridge.
4. Fit new cartridge (and new bush if required) and screw in clockwise.
How To remove the spout and replace o'rings:
To replace the o rings, you will first need to unscrew the spout collar by unscrewing it anticlockwise.
You can then lift the spout up and replace the o rings at the base with the replacement parts (SK22-S).
