How do I repair my Franke Olympus tap?
If your Franke Olympus kitchen Monobloc tap is dripping or leaking out of the spout you need to replace the internal ceramic quarter turn tap cartridges. Our spares are compatible with models,
Olympus, Olympus S, silksteel,
Olympus Side Spray,
Filterflow Olympus (The Filterflow takes two anticlockwise and one clockwise).
**Please note this ceramic cartridge is NOT compatible with the Olympus Triflow and Trispray which were discontinued in 2011.

When you remove your Cartridge / Insert from the tap the bush usually remains inside the tap block however sometimes it comes out together with the valve.
If the valve is stuck inside the bush you can try to separate them.
If you are unable to separate the valve from the bush then you will need to purchase the valve together with the bush.
**Please note the older Olympus G model (identifiable by the red and blue colour indicators on the levers) the conversion bush required is different.
It may take our SB26, or it may be an older bush that we do not sell.

The Franke cartridge may be known by the following spare part references;

The Brass valve body bush is known by code 3868R/ SP3868 /133.0312.538.
If your Olympus tap is leaking from the base of the spout where the it meets the tap body then you will need to replace the O Rings / washers inside the spout.
The O'ring kit is known by original part number 1425R SP1425.
**Please note the Screw supplied will not fit the "G" model (identifiable by the red and blue colour markers on the levers) or Pre 2007 models so be sure to keep your old screw.
We now have tap handles available (Supplied with handle screw). Please note they do not have H or C engraved on the handle (the handle is plain).

Franke Olympus Frequently asked questions
How do I remove the Olympus tap handle/lever?
1. Use 2mm allen key to undo handle - The grub screw is located on the underside of the handle.
You can pull the lever forwards to access the screw at the back if you need more space.
2. Pull Lever away from tap body.
3. Unscrew shroud / tap cover.
4.You can now access the cartridge which you will need a 17mm spanner to undo.
*To remove the Franke Olympus G model you will need to unscrew the upright lever by unscrewing it anticlockwise.
How do I know if need the adaptor bush?
Until you remove the cartridge from the tap you will not know if you need this part.
This is because sometimes the bush gets corroded to the tap and remains in the tap body, and other times it comes out corroded to the tap cartridge.
Can I remove the adaptor bush from the old cartridge?
Yes you can but it can be very hard to remove due to corrosion. You can try using very hot water, followed by cold water over it, to help break the corrosion seal. The bush unscrews from the cartridge anticlockwise. You will likely ed to use some grips or put it in a vice to remove it. If you cannot separate it you will need to replace the bush.
How do I remove the spout and replace the o'rings inside the spout?
Use 2.5mm allen key to undo grub screw at the back holding the spout in place.

What removal tool do I need to remove the Franke Olympus Valve?
You will need a 17mm or an adjustable spanner. We sell a box spanner for easy removal of your cartridge.
How do I Replace the Olympus Cartridge and stop my tap dripping?
To replace your Franke Olympus valve follow the below steps.
1. Turn Water Supply off.
2. Remove Tap Lever using 2mm allen key
3. Unscrew Shroud (anticlockwise)
4. Use 17mm Spanner to unscrew Cartridge from the tap anticlockwise
5. Fit the New Cartridge from Tap Magician
